More than 3,700 nurses and midwives have publicly declared their dedication and commitment to nurse-led care quality improvement through Energise for Excellence (E4E).

They include Kerrie Naylor, Ward Manager at Moseley Hall Hospital, Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust and Jo Richmond, Corporate Nurse at Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.

Kerrie said: “I signed up my commitment to E4E to promote and share the good practice taking place in my area and to show how dedicated we are to improving and maintaining patient care.”

“I signed my E4E pledge because I believe that committed nurses working together and sharing best practice is the best way to achieve quality care for our patients,” added Jo.

Nurses and midwives are being encouraged to reconnect with the reasons they chose to enter the profession. The aim is to make sure that essential nursing care is a given and can be counted on every time, for every patient, in every NHS organisation.

To join the call to action, which is supported by chief nurses across England, nurses and midwives are being encouraged to log on to the Energise for Excellence: a call to action to register their commitment.
